Employers Seeking Consumer-Driven Health Plans in Increasing Numbers

Employers are accelerating a switch to consumer-driven health plans and employee wellness programs in a bid to keep health care costs under control, according to a new survey.
The use of Consumer Driven Health Plans jumped by 43 percent from 2007 and now represent 13 percent of all plans offered by employers, according to the EBS Capstone and United Benefit Advisors survey.
